Thankful Thursday!
I have not done this before, but decided to post today on Thankful Thursday as I am so thankful for many things! Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey has hosted Thankful Thursday for quite a long time and my wife Kat at Heart 2 Heart loves her Blog! So click on Sonya's link and join in the weekly blessings.
1. I am thankful to God that he has given me so much to be thankful for! I think that just about sums up what I or anyone wants or needs!
2. I am thankful for my Wife Kat! She is the love of my life and I could not imagine how hard it would be to live without her! I love seeing her beautiful smile in the morning, her gorgeous Green eyes and just being with her makes me happy.
3. I am thankful for my children who brighten my day! Caitlyn my older Step-Daughter who is such a blessing and a wonderful young woman. She has such a level head on her shoulders and well balance that she at the age of 16 is more of an adult than many of the people I meet and work with today!
4. I am so thankful for my youngest Daughter Kailee who inspires me to try to stay young and play while I can still recover from injuries! She has been going Roller-Skating at our local rink and my wife and I have been trying to keep up, however, our minds are much younger than our bodies! I am still recovering form the many falls and spills I have taken over the past several weeks. My bruises have bruises! And my poor wife has been hurt the worst when she could not get out of the way of some skaters by the wall. She fell and hurt herself pretty bad.
5. I guess I would have to say that I am grateful for healing! That our physical wounds will heal in time just as God heals our other spiritual wounds. Thank you God for healing our wounds!
So Thank you and have a great Thursday!

Steve,
I love your thankful Thursday list! Any woman would count themselves lucky to be married to a man that takes after God's own heart.
I was blessed to have found you at just the right moment in my life to complete me the way God intended it to be. All things work out for those that love the Lord and He truly meant for us to work together in this life and raise an amazing family as one.
You are a perfect father, slow to anger and willing to talk to them about anything. You have a heart of gold and our children will be blessed if they find someone as great as you for their own husbands. Thank you for modeling that behavior for them to look for it in others and to follow your example.
I will never stop thanking God for the day he gave me the opportunity to work with you on that very special day! His plans were already well in the works because He saw the need I would have in the very short future in my life. He knew I needed you!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I'm glad you joined in today! Your #5 was kind of funny after your #4. Guessing when your youngest has you pushing the limits and getting injured then God can step in and take over with the healing process. :)
Have a blessed weekend,
Sonya Lee
I am pretty thankful for your wife too!! She is something very special!!!
I am sure the girls are thankful for you and to have such a kind stepdad. Being a stepmom I know it is not always easy but with the Lord HE can make it work!
Blessings to you and hoping your injuries recover quickly
Despite the trials we all face, we still have so many things to be thankful for to the One Who truly deserves it and our praises. God bless you and your beautiful family! May He continue to guide you all, protect you and give you the healing for those bruises :)
Great list Steven! I'm sure your family is really thankful to have you too.
Thanks for stopping by today at the 5 Mom Blog. It's nice to hear from the guys out there.
Take care (and your poor wife),
Miti
Welcome Steve...... and I am thankful for your wife also, LOL!! That is one encouraging lady!
Thanks for joining in Steve. We have so much to be thankful for but this is a nice way to stop and let everyone else know how much God has blessed us. I look forward to more of your Thankful Thursday posts.
Good list, Steve. God honors gratitude and being conscious of our many blessings is one way to keep thankfulness ever present in our hearts.
Beautiful Steve. I always enjoy reading these. When I finish my 52 week Meme on Thursdays, I am going to have to jump in on this one. It is always a blessing to stop and review what the Lord is doing in our lives.

Steve,
Funny...just as I left my comment here you note on my post came in. So I just had to say that 1-you hit the nail on the head...no pun intended. 2-I was thinking along the same lines this morning. I wrote that post a few days ago and it has been churning around in my brain since. We put too much value on book and cerebal learning (not that it doesn't have its place) and forget the most basic and important learning of life skills.
3- I thought about the electronics and yes, how they are so inundated with screens that they can't get up and out and do the other things that our generation and those before us did that enabled them to learn those skills. In many ways the movie "Walle" kind of hit on what I am, and you were, getting at here.
Kat
Great thankful post Steve! You are most definitely blessed!
