One Strong Word!

FAITH!

This is perhaps one of the strongest and most powerful of words in the Bible. It lets us know that without faith we would be lost to a world of Chaos! A world of Sin! Many people have never truly understood what faith means, even some Christians today believe in faith, but do not truly know what it means to have faith in the Lord. Here are just a few verses from the Bible on Faith.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. —Romans 5:1-2

For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” —Romans 1:17

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. —Romans 10:8-11, 17

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. —Ephesians 6:10-17

Faith can be used in so many ways to so many people. As long as we truly believe that in Faith we are saved, then we are walking a straight path. So be Faith Warriors out there! Be white Knights for God's Great Glory and we shall be Glorified in Heaven!

You know, I thought I would have a hard time donning God's armor before I go to work or just when I am faced with a spiritual battle. Not only it is light, it is very powerful!

Faith-that seems to pretty much cover us all around - a Shield!

Thank you for this reminder because everyday, we do battle with unseen enemies. Blessings to you.

I have learned, and am still learning, that Faith is a multi-faceted word. For those times when Faith is so hard because it goes against the work-place or relationships, its hard to make Faith the priority. Then there are those times when Faith is the life-line when everything around me is in complete chaos.
Thank you for this beautifully written, and exquisitly easy to understand essay on Faith.
God bless!

Great post Steve. I struggle with this one sometimes but I keep trying. It reminds me of the time I went to a water park. There was a huge tower with a water slide that went off the top. I saw it from the ground and it looked safe. However once I was sitting on the slide, I couldn't see over the edge. So I had to push myself over the edge and trust that the rest of the slide was still there. I know it sounds silly but it was very hard to do. I know God is there and he will protect me but sometimes it is hard just to push myself into the unknown.

What is amazing about faith is that what God requires of us He gives to us by His grace. As we look to Him to help us to believe, He reveals Himself and births faith within our hearts. We can not even take credit for believing. The answer to living in strong faith is continually looking to Jesus to reveal the Truth to us that will set us free from the bondages that the lies of the enemy has trapped us in and cause us to break free in our faith in Him. Great post Steve!
